Our name “Organ Colossal” comes from a poem by friend and board member - poet, educator, and divine thinker Sabrina Sadique.  “...this organ colossal of skin....” comes from her poem “Reflection”.  Skin is our protective covering, and the human body’s largest organ.  We are drawn to the idea that something can be larger in scope than it first appears, like an idea, or collective energy.

Our logo was lovingly designed by Troy locals Elizabeth Gray and Joel Tirado.  It is based on the ancient protea flower, which symbolizes transformation and courage.
